Sounds Interesting: Artists
Sounds Interesting Staff
we are a couple of guys who are non-musicians. we are actually experimental sound manipulators and we like to create strange non-music and freaky sounds and we hope you enjoy our forays into insanity. in this forum we hope to present to you some of our sonic meanderings as well as some from our friends and acquaintances.
SI-AFFILIATED ARTISTS
Philtrum
a talented experimental sound designer and drone master from Topeka, Kansas
Stuyvesant
Stuyvesant is an odd little turd who has no recollections before the year 1997. As he looks to be about 67 or 68 years old, that represents either a huge case of amnesia or the jerk is lying his ass off. It is not a big deal, really. This guy is as boring as vanilla ice cream or sugar cookies with no sugar - really. He is as bland as corn flakes with skim milk. We truly could care less where he has been or what he has done. We know that he makes freaky sounds that fit our website and our label's goals (whatever that means) so we accept him as is as we do most people. We just don't want to let him know where we are. Musically, Stuy - as he likes to be called - has cut his teeth on some of the midgets of the industry. He has listened to the Beatles and once was in the same country as Michael Jackson. He counts John Denver, John Sebastian, John Lennon, Jon Bon Jovi, and John Tesh as his major musical influences. He thinks that Cusco is cutting edge and hopes to follow in Chris Franke's footsteps some day.
Whipworm
experimental sound designers from Houston, TX
Plenary
otherwise known as the stinson canary bean factory noise unit, the very talented drone master from Chicago, IL
Atrophy Squared
a deadbeat loser from cleveland, ohio. ok, he's not really a loser but he's from cleveland (nuff said). actually word has it that atrophy squared has spent several years in federal penitentiaries for crimes so vile that decorum prohibits their mention here. (nothing to do with children!) he has found his niche in the musical offstream by doing what he feels like doing. atrophy (not his real name) doesn't care if you dislike his music or if you hate it - he is relatively sure that no one will like it. (he has huge self-esteem issues.) [his own words] "if you dislike it - fuck off. if you hate it - fuck you twice. if you don't care, we don't either."
G. Omed
the founding father of sounds interesting and premier sound designer
Foolish Hit
these guys are amazing. they bang out the hits like nobody! they are indeed, foolish hit.
Bad Comma
sad bastard ambient
Mike Hunt
Mike never grew up, and he's back to his old silly nonsense again, but it can be funny at times and we love humor so here you go.
Hazey Lucidity
flashes of brilliance when he can get off his ass and actually produce something. hazey lucidity was born on a mountain top in southern Chile, near Antarctica during a full eclipse of the moon. there are several rumors about his parents but nobody knows who they are or where they went. (if you'd see hazey, you'd understand their desire to remain anonymous. he might be the ugliest human on this planet.) hazey gets his musical inspiration from the penguins and seals near his native land. he has recorded several days of their sounds and he warps them and manipulates them to get his unique stylings. his favorite color is off white. he prefers french vanilla ice cream. if he was a tree he believes that he'd be a giant oak. he is still a virgin and hopes to remain such.
The Clipper Ships
A guitar noise band from central Pennsylvania
Subzone Triumvirate
space-age religiosity
Spencer Chicken Loveboy
just some trailer trash from Nampa, Idaho. into anything noise-related (unreleased artist, for obvious reasons)
